THE GRINCH is found NOT GUILTY!!!!

On Friday, December 15, 2023, the Brookfield R-III First graders found Mr. Grinch NOT GUILTY after he was charged with stealing their gingerbread men.

According to reports, the gingerbread men were left at the Linn County Sheriff's Office when Mr. Grinch came in, tied up the secretary, and stole the men!!

With the help of our office, the Linn County Juvenile Office staff, Linn County Courthouse staff, Linn County Victim's Advocates staff, and the Linn County Prosecutor, the 1st graders were able to serve as jurors to hear the case against Mr. Grinch. After hearing all sides, the jurors believe that Mr. Grinch was just trying to make new friends and return the gingerbread men back to their rightful owners so they made the decision to find him NOT GUILTY.

We all had a blast and thank you for everyone the participated!
