The Linn County Sheriff's Office has received reports from individuals receiving phones calls from a person identifying themselves as "a deputy with the Sheriff's office" or other law enforcement officers stating that warrants have been issued and they will be placed under arrest unless they pay $1,000 or more bond. 

Deputies with our office do NOT call to demand payment for any bonds. 

If you receive a call similar to this do not panic. If you are concerned, please reach out to our office to verify that a deputy did not call.
