The Linn County Sheriff's Office has received reports from individuals receiving phones calls from a person identifying themselves as "a deputy with the Sheriff's office" stating that warrants have been issued and they will be placed under arrest unless they pay $1,000 bond. 

Deputies with our office do NOT call to demand payment for any bonds. 

If you receive a call similar to this do not panic. If you are concerned, please reach out to our office to verify that a deputy did not call.
